Prosperity for "We the People"
One of the significant themes for the 2012 national elections in the United States was "Jobs, Jobs, Jobs"! However, many jobs that existed three years ago no longer exist in this country and probably will not return. At the same time, mature companies like Kodak are imploding based on the dynamics primarily of "creative destruction", not remaining relevant in the marketplace to the ever-changing needs of consumers. A recent WSJ article ("Avoiding Innovation's Terrible Toll by Ante, January 7, 2012) indicated that few corporations reach the age of 40. So where can the unemployed turn for employment if the economic regulatory environment reversed its current trend and became favorable to enterprise? The answer may lie in the Information Age entrepreneur and the advancement of technology to alleviate the lack of job skills and illiteracy.
